Thank You.

From the bottom of my heart, and with more love than I could ever find the words to express, thank you for this year.

To the parents of OADC:

I couldn’t have asked for cooler families to spend this pandemic with. Thank you for your support and your trust. Thank you for inviting me into your space to teach. I loved meeting your dogs and cats.

To my dancers:

I am so proud of you. You are so special and so talented. I can’t wait to see you perform this evening.

From my mascot, to my wardrobe consultant, to my naming committee, to my student advisory board, thank you all for dancing and laughing with me!   IT’S SHOWTIME!!!!

To Miss Shannon:

How do I even begin? I called you in March and told you about my crazy idea to put on a show with just 7 rehearsals in April and May, and you drove to Texas from Kentucky to help make it happen. I am forever grateful to you and the amazing, and wonderful dance educator that you are. (Y’all, she took on classes when I was full, she added cheer to the mix,  she choreographed for this show, and she is here tonight to help it all run smoothly.)

To Miss Shelley and Miss Nicole:

Thank you for taking on outdoor and virtual dance classes with me and being there to talk to, share stories, and to discuss pedagogy and methodology for this environment. Thank you for the laughs and the cries. This year of life was such a roller-coaster and I am so thankful to have you both as friends!

To my husband, Ryan:

I promise that I will never again make you cut marley flooring, or have you join me on your lunch break to set up a show, or ask you to read e-mails to see if I sound weird,  or see if  you will build me a portable barre or put together a video..…….Well.. actually.....  I don’t promise that at all. Thank you for choosing to be married to a dance teacher. I love you! And I am grateful for your endless support.

To my daughter, Linnea:

Thank you for telling me I could do this. I want to be like you when I grow up. You are my heart.

With love, gratitude, and so much joy,

:) Miss Kerin
